Comanche defeated De Leon 6 to 3 in a fast clean football contest noted for open play and strong defense. Hill and Merritt led the teams with a balanced attack as De Leon drew first blood on a 35 yard drop kick and the Red Skins held on for the win.
Mr J C Henderson is in Dallas with his wife near death after a long illness. She was hospitalized last Sunday where all medical effort was made. Comanche friends mourn her serious condition and extend sympathy.

Wiylie McNeely a 19 year old Black man accused of an incident with an 18 year old girl near Leesburg was seized by a mob at Mount Pleasant and burned at the stake in Leesburg at midnight. Hundreds from Camp Titus and nearby counties witnessed the execution as the pyre was prepared on a vacant edge of town and the man tied to a stake with kerosene set alight.
A statement recalls the promised haircut for her, noting it was to be done at Marshall's shop on the north side square. The message emphasizes the obligation and location of the planned hair service.

The entire commissioners court except Judge Reese visited the Dallas Fair on Wednesday hosted by the Texas Bridge Company. Robert Baird died in Healdton Oklahoma on Saturday October 1 from heart trouble. He had been a Comanche citizen and worked in the Chief office while G J Thomas was editor. He later served as city attorney in Healdton. His wife and daughter Helen were in Sulphur at his death. Helen taught in public schools there. He was buried in Lone Grove, Oklahoma, where his mother rests. Mrs Baird will be remembered as Maggie Nabers sister of Mrs Dora Greene. Mrs Green and son Cyril attended the funeral.
Cullen Thomas of Dallas visited the city on Tuesday meeting friends and forming new acquaintances. He called on the Chief, but the editor was out and did not meet him. The note praises Thomas as a man of superior intellect and strong religious and political convictions.
The Battalion announces the Aviators as the winners of a college subscription contest. Captain M. B. Gardner directs the team, a Comanche boy in his fourth and final year, son of Rev. and Mrs. Gardner who praise his success at the school.
Former klan leader C Anderson Wright told a congressional committee that Mrs Elizabeth Tyler of Georgia was the true power of the organization and charged klan officers with tax evasion and mafia aided propaganda. He urged Texas as a possible klan headquarters and noted Georgia regarded the klan as a joke.
The Rev L J Mims of Brownwood preached at the Baptist church last Sunday to a large and appreciative audience, underscoring his role as one of Texas' able ministers.
