Visitors are urged to tour the fair in Comanche County with highlights in the main hall and east tents. Chickens and turkeys on display, fruit and vegetable showcases, women’s baking and crafts, and a Jones Brothers carnival headline the event. Hog, cattle, and horse stock are shown along the north and west fences, with daily cattle pens and free races including a Thursday shooting event among towns Comanche Brownwood May Dublin and Brady.
Saturday afternoon M. K. Witt sustained a broken arm and Cal Fritts minor injuries when a Ford car leaped from a bridge on Gustine road into a deep ravine. Fritts drove, Witt demonstrated. both escaped death though Witt’s arm was broken and Fritts bruised. Witt is noted as Comanche’s pioneer Ford dealer.
The Comanche County cotton crop is almost gathered as of Sept 25 reporting 2815 bales, up from 1192 bales last year. The crop is light and remnants indicate most will be sold soon.

A remarkable Baby Beef display, organized last spring by a local club at the F and M Bank, draws strong praise from George Montgomery. He says the county exhibit will rival state fairs, with many superb animals on display and a larger-than-expected entry count.
The Fair horse show displays leading stallions and promising colts as Comanche County advances in the horse industry. Jacks show slow entry but ample future entries, and cow ponies gain ground while Texans admire well bred colts and exemplary colts attract attention as the best we have seen.

Fair visitors are told to visit a food stand run by Frank Fenton on depot street across from the express office for meals and snacks.
Jumbo the big steer stood six feet tall and weighed 3260 pounds in Mills County fair. Admission to the event was ten cents. W. H. Oglesby was the proprietor.
