Here from Benbrook Mr and Mrs Dwayne Davis and son Dudley visited here part of last week in the home of her mother Mrs Kitty Payne.
Mr. and Mrs. Garner Couch of Fort Worth spent the weekend with Mrs. Carpenter in her home. Mrs. Couch, a Star-Telegram employee, will enter All Saints Hospital for major surgery on Saturday, Oct. 10.
Elder Jessie L. Collings, 81, a noted Primitive Baptist minister, died last Friday in a Dublin rest home. Funeral services were held Saturday at De Leon, with interment in an Abilene cemetery. He formerly pastored the De Leon Primitive Baptist Church and long published a church paper at Glen Rose.
Mr and Mrs C F Silvus of Austin visited Mrs O O Bright here over the week end.
Sept 28 probate court documents show applications to appoint executors for the estates of R. L. Lane and Marietta Kelley. R. L. Eaton is named as executor for Lane with Gene Hicks of Comanche noted. Thomas Jefferson Jr. is named as executor for Kelley.
