The Lake Proctor Bass Club held its September meeting with 40 members. Dickie Dickson won the September trophy with a 4 lb 15 oz bass. Other top catches included Bill Works 4 lb 0 oz and 4 lb 10 oz, Weldon Turner 4-9, Donald Bartlett 4-7, and Brenda Marshall 3-7 34 oz. An October 15 intra club string tournament will return fish to the water with a $2 entry and top prizes of 25 15 and 10. The Open Tournament is slated for March 24 and 25.

Rummage Sale Set by Burton Methodist Church
Burton Bible Class of First United Methodist Church sponsors a rummage sale on Saturday October 7 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the church lawn with items from the entire church. Proceeds support the building fund and donors may drop items at the church basement mornings. The Lord's Acro-Hour project continues with a festival on Saturday October 28 at the Comanche Livestock Center.
