FTA Inducts New Members at Ola Cunning ham Chapter
Twenty six new members were inducted into The Ola Cunningham Chapter of Future Teachers of America on Thursday October 18. President Dorothea Byrd opened the meeting followed by the invocation by W M Day and the Pledge led by Mary Ann Cloud. Candles lit, membership cards issued, pledges recited, and the FTA song sung before sponsor Miss Jewel Werner discussed carnival booth plans.

Present plans for the new junior high building call for completion around the time the building proper is being painted inside. All wall and roof work has been completed. Main items left for completion inside are landscaping of grounds.
New gym to be ready after building completion plans
Furniture for the building has been bought and stored waiting for the completion of the gym. Plans target a November 1 finish for the gymnasium. Superintendent S H Fletcher says after Junior High football ends, basketball and physical education classes will use the gym.
