The Comanche Division of MoorMan's Manufacturing, Quincy Illinois, invites the public to an open house November 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Representatives will showcase expanded manufacturing and warehousing facilities to better serve Texas and New Mexico customers.
The Baylor University Chapel Choir directed by Dr. Euell Porter will sing at First Baptist Church of Comanche Sunday night November 14 at 7 30. The program includes pieces from Bethlehem Israel trip and a portion of the Baylor Combined Choirs Christmas Concert in Waco Hall December 10. The choir will also perform in Jerusalem Nazareth Tel Aviv Corinth and Athens as part of an Israeli choral festival. The public is invited to attend.
Floyd W. Prather, an area manager for Occidental Chemical Co., was chosen as a trustee of Howard Payne College at the Baptist General Convention of Texas meeting held in Houston. The selection places Prather on the board of the Brownwood based institution, reflecting representation from the 1.9 million member convention.
The CHS Maidens start the basketball season Tuesday in Gatesville with the B-Girls at 6:00 followed by the A-team.
The Comanche County American Cancer Society will hold its regular meeting November 11 at 7:00 p.m. in the Comanche National Bank Hospitality room. All members and any interested persons are urged to attend.
A public performance titled The Great Merlin Mystery Show debuts Friday November 19 at 8 p.m. in the Comanche High School Auditorium. The act features ESP demonstrations, mind reading, crystal ball visions and hypnotic stunts with audience volunteers. Proceeds benefit the Comanche Public Library.

Comanche County Young Farmers and Young Homemakers announce their annual Thanksgiving banquet will be held November 23 at the Country Club. Porter Randall of the Texas State Network News will speak. Tickets are $3 and available from YF or YH members or local banks.
In a weekly football contest, Mary Edna Walkoviak took first place after missing only two games. Ricky Coolbrough earned second, with Alice Stokes of Brownwood in third. Honorable mentions went to Clyde House Wanda Beaty Duane Ogle Barbara Spivey of Comanche and J A Hulsey of Dublin.
Texas entertainer Porter Randall gains notice as a traveling journalist and filmmaker. He wrote a political tensions book and narrated a Cinemascope Russia travel film for 20th Century Fox. Randall shows travel films nearly every night and makes about 200 personal appearances annually.

The Comanche Indians close the 1971 football season Friday at 7:30 p.m. against Ballinger Bearcats. Six players ending their CHS careers are listed, with West and Lee stating the team is in good condition despite injuries. Starting and defensive lineups are detailed as final preparations for the decisive game.

Representatives from an Austin architectural firm studied Comanche Community Hospital last week for a planned expansion to a 50 bed facility with more private rooms. The non profit hospital has run 80 to 90 percent occupancy, is Medicare and HEW accredited, tax free, and seeks Federal grants for building and staffing.

A faculty textbook committee was appointed to advise on adoptions for the coming year including S H Fletcher Sybil De Laney Sarah Richey Jim mie D Jones and others.
Comanche travels to Cisco for a triple header with 7th graders opening at 5 20 PM. The 8th grade Paps seek a rematch after a 35 34 win last time. Braves star back Jamey Williams and fullback Joe Lee return from A team duties for the Cisco clash.
The Proctor Reservoir Weather Station releases a 24 hour temperature and moisture summary for the period from eight in the morning to eight the next morning. The report records conditions across the station area with figures for temperature highs and moisture during the cycle.
