Now's The Time To Fertilize Here in Azle

Azle residents Mr and Mrs Garner Couch and children Cathy Kyle and Andy visited Mrs Couchs parents Mr and Mrs Bob Carpenter in Comanche over the weekend. A shower will honor Mr and Mrs Floyd Coker Saturday night Nov 12 at the Stag Creek Community Center. The Cokers move to Rule after many years in Stag Creek. Fall fertilization discussed citing A M Temple Blackland Station tests showing no yield difference by application month in heavy soils but caution for sandy soils. County agent Floyd Key recommends considering fall fertilization for reduced field compaction and early spring planting, while noting possible nitrogen loss if crop fails to plant. Consult local agent to assess profitability.
