Mrs Kate Anderson Dies Near Comanche
Mrs Kate Anderson, the first white female child born in Comanche County, died at her home near Comanche after a long life in the county. She was the daughter of a 22 member family, survived by twelve siblings and four children from her second marriage to J P Anderson, with descendants Mrs W H Eargle Mrs B B Jackson and Chas and Lee Anderson. Her death is mourned by Comanche County residents who knew her well.

Three Constitutional Amendments Beat at Polls

Federal Arrest of Chilt Carnes on Assault Charge
United States Deputy D. R. Hodge arrested Chilt Carnes of Brownwood on a charge of assaulting J. H. Robertson a Brownwood post office clerk in the mail service. Carnes was jailed and sent to San Angelo for a Wednesday hearing before U. S. Commissioner Jesse T. Couch. Robertson reported a black eye from the October 27 incident as he collected mail from downtown boxes.

Aged Man Collapses on Street After Long Journey
An eighty year old man named Joseph Farley from Greensboro North Carolina collapsed on a city sidewalk near the courthouse. Dr Clemons revived him and he recounted traveling from Greensboro to Brewster county West Texas to visit a friend named Will Langley. He received a Texas bound ticket based on his funds and was later assisted home by the county.
