Lamkin Texas Once A Railroad Town With Fine Citizens
Lamkin a prosperous community in Comanche County shaped by land and strong citizenship, once boasted a two story school, a bank and a railroad. Fires floods and shifts in times diminished its boom though the town remains notable for its land and progressive farmers who built a new cotton gin in 1923 and shipped trade from Lamkin.
