Editors Named for Public Publications at Comanche High
Eleven Comanche High School juniors begin apprenticeship training for next year on the Warrior and Arrowhead staffs. Julia Dudley leads five juniors on the Arrowhead with Glenda Walker Bobby Sullivan Kay Anthony and Ann Allen. Arrowhead sponsor Mrs Cox praises their talent and willingness to learn. Warrior staff juniors will publish next year with Mrs Lightfoot stressing the paper’s value rests on the staff’s work.

CHS Band Enjoys Active Year and Military Style Marches
The CHS Band reports an active year since August with sergeants training in a new marching style. Officers for 1957-58 include Polly McCullough as drum major and Anita Edmondson as band sergeant, plus a full council and color guard. Members earned All-District and All-Regional honors, performed at the Cotton Bowl, and nine seniors received jacket awards. Also noted are military discharge updates for Allen Woods and Thomas Robert Williams.

Comanche High School Library Club Reaches 115 Members
The Comanche High School Library Club, sponsored by librarian Miss Nobia Dunn, has 115 members. Meetings occur about monthly with officers elected in October and members serving as reporters and assistants. The club aims to provide books and materials to students and teachers and is now a member of the Teen-Age Library Association. Becky Burk and Berta Brightman represented Comanche at the State TALA Convention in Dallas.
