Reminiscences of Early Comanche Army Associations
G A Beeman recalls formation of two county veteran associations in 1887 and 1888 in Dublin and Comanche plus the John Pellam Camp at Comanche. He notes large turnouts, a two day public barbecue, orderly conduct, and a reconciliation gesture toward ex Federal soldiers. He lists early officers and a long member roll.
