Garland senior Rodger Croker Seventh in National Auto Safety Contest
Garland High School senior Rodger Croker and former Comanche High School student, editor of the Owl's Eye, received a telegram from American Motorists Insurance Company noting seventh place in a national high school auto safety contest. The seventh place prize is $50. The contest, third annual, drew over 1,150 entries from nearly 500 high schools in 47 states plus DC, Guam, and Hawaii. Brackenridge High School was the only other Texas winner.
