Funeral services for C Cunningham were conducted in Newburg Tuesday afternoon with Rev J Boyd and Rev Gow presiding. The deceased longtime resident of Amarillo and former Comanche county citizen founded a Flower Shop seven years ago and is survived by four brothers and three sisters living in Comanche Amarillo and Newburg.

Woney Community Citizen Dies by Suicide
A. J. Harrison of near Sidnew was found dead from poisoning after preparing carbolic acid to kill rabbits. The coroner’s inquest ruled suicide, noting Moody behavior weeks earlier and that Harrison left a wife and fourteen children. Only two children are over fourteen.

New Pastor Joins Comanche Presbyterian Church
Dr G B Henderlite arrives in Comanche to lead the Presbyterian church after thirty years as a missionary in Brazil where he founded a seminary in Garanhuns. He helped ordain thirty ministers and notes growth of churches, seminaries, and members. His Virginia birth and education at King College and Union Theological Seminary are listed. William Barnes Old Time Citizen Buried Here Tuesday
William Barnes a prominent Comanche hardware merchant died Saturday April 26 in Brownwood while visiting his son Palmer Barnes. Born November 27 1842 in Nipponnee Canada he moved to Texas in 1873 settling in Waco then Comanche. He married Martha Milner October 31 1875. ten children were born eight survive including Robert M Barnes W A Barnes and Palmer Barnes. Funeral conducted at his residence by Rev J D Smoot with many old county citizens in attendance.

Boy Preacher and Pastor Headed to Southern Convention
Rev. Scott Hickey and J. W. Tidwell, the teenage preacher known as the boy wonder, travel by automobile from Comanche to Atlanta for the Southern Baptist convention. Tidwell, age thirteen, has preached for two years and finished a year of ninth grade work in six months at Howard Payne College.
