Oakwood grave markers restored by local volunteers
Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche sees a vivid restoration effort by Berett, T. W., and Roy Sliger. They repair fragile sandstone markers by a sandwich mend method, preserving inscriptions while reinforcing the stones for future years. The project highlights historic markers in the oldest cemetery section and honors early families like Dr. and Mrs. Ransom Tuggle.
