Cyndra Frick and Linda Andrews earned Associated Press All State Team honors marking their second major selection in under a month. Frick, a CHS senior and Tri Captain on the State Runner-Up squad, averages 16 rebounds and will play in the summer All-Star game. Andrews, a junior, averages 23 points and was All-District last year.

City Council to Decide On Highway Widening
The Comanche City Council will review a Texas Highway Department plan to widen just over two miles of US 67 377 next Monday March 25. Traffic on the two lane road exceeds 9000 vehicles daily and could reach 15000 by 1990, with on street parking removed to add two lanes. The project has a $4500000 budget and rising costs threaten delays.

Road Comanche Track Teams Head to Several Meet Venues
Road Comanche track squads plan a busy schedule this weekend and early next week. The 7th and 8th grade teams travel to Brownwood Friday afternoon with the 8th grade at DeLeon, both meets starting at 3 p.m. Monday brings a Stephenville trek for 7th to 9th graders all taking part. Thursday features Maidens traveling to Gran bury to open the season with junior high and varsity Maidens.

At the March 11 meeting the Comanche School Board accepted retirements for Berta Goodson Odell Kirksey and Robert DeLaney from Special Education and Junior High Math roles. The board reviewed policy changes and authorized bids for air conditioning the Junior High School Building. Superintendent H R Jefferies reported 38045 in Local Maintenance and 126000 in a Certificate of Deposit with Comanche National Bank with 53 percent of the fiscal year spent.
