Comanche Crafts Show Highlights Local Talent and Heritage
The Episcopal Church of Comanche hosts a Craftsman and Hobby Show at the Veterans Building drawing praise for county talent and antiquities. Exhibits include leather goods by A G Cottrell and Cottrell, Normandy Lace by Mrs J Bob Lewis, dried flower arrangements by Mrs C W Gray, and a wreath of human hair by Mrs L C Wells born in 1893. A glove factory display from Brownwood and a gun collection from H D Swilley attracted visitors. Proceeds support the church, with ten percent added to door receipts. The paper notes Rev John Salsbury will succeed Father Don Clark as pastor July 15, with Clark remaining in Dublin until then.
