Miss Ida Mae Switzer daughter of Mr and Mrs Sam Switzer of Comanche married Ben Truett Jr of Marfa in a Sunday 8:30 am Baptist Church service. About seventy five guests attended with Elloise Switzer as maid of honor and Edgar Switzer as best man. The couple will live in Marfa where Truett operates a wholesale grocery business.

Former Comanche County youth slain with axe at Gatesville school
C O Huff 16 a Gatesville State Training School inmate, formerly from near Gorman, was killed by fellow inmate I D Herrin with an axe about 9 30 Thursday morning. Herrin, 19, said he planned the act last week but was thwarted by other inmates. Huff had been at Blair's Store burglary in Custer. Funeral held May 25 at Ree House Coryell County.

Pioneer Mrs M J R Head Dies at Indian Gap
Mrs. M J R Head died at her son Wallace Head's home in Indian Gap on May 18 at age 81. Funeral services were held at Indian Gap Cemetery the next day led by Elder Len Dalton. Survivors include Wallace Head Will Head Sargeant Forrest Head and Estella Gaines.
