The American Cancer Society will hold its annual event at 7 30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church. Local residents and supporters are invited to attend and participate in the fundraising effort.
Comanche County residents and outdoors enthusiasts are invited to a public hearing on 1963 64 hunting and fishing rules scheduled for 10 a m Monday in the County Courtroom. Texas Game and Fish Commission officers will explain the new regulations for the season.
The Comanche County Young Farmers Chapter plans its Second Annual Field Day and Tour for Thursday June 13 starting 12:30 pm at the Comanche Vocational Agriculture Building. Stops include Loeldene Cox’s Black Angus cattle, Harold Seay’s sow operation, Marvin Lee’s Short horn cattle, Bill Lane Green Oak Farm with hybrid sorghums, and Floyd Prather’s coastal bermuda pasture. A refreshment break at the Lanes features the Young Homemakers. The tour returns to Comanche by about 3:45 pm with possible extra cars at the school.
Thirty six Comanche youths are registered under Coach Ray Smith in the Summer Recreational Program with more expected to sign up this week. The program covers football baseball and track with calisthenics and weight training. Swimming classes are held at Lake Banes Pool each Friday and the first Little League games are set for June 24 with a meeting for all baseball leagues planned at the high school on Monday.

All 24 living members of the Comanche High School 1915 class will attend the June 15-16 reunion. They will travel from California, New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Texas to gather with two former teachers honored at a banquet in Brownwood.
Hugh O'Brien left Monday to visit relatives and friends in Arizona and California, continuing a family and social tour.

Comanche PSA announces the second annual Miss Comanche and Miss Junior Comanche pageants to be held in the High School Auditorium Monday night at 8 30. Twenty eight entrants are listed with sponsors from local businesses and out of town judges to select winners. Rules specify ages and residency. event continues on the back page.
Comanche County 4-H invites the public to the annual Dress Revue at Comanche High School Auditorium Friday evening June 7. Program starts 7 15 with the Dress Revue at 8. Thirty three 4-H members from seven clubs entered the event and ribbons will be awarded based on record book, construction, and appearance judging.
