Ordinance Prohibits Dogs Running At Large In Comanche Texas
City of Comanche enacts law to stop dogs from running on public streets and alleys. Owners or controllers who permit this behavior face misdemeanor charges and fines up to one hundred dollars. The city marshal is empowered to capture any dog found running at large within the city limits.

The city adopts an emergency dog impounding rule allowing seizure of un muzzled dogs on public streets. Owners may claim dogs at the courthouse door within three days by paying a one dollar impounding fee and daily feeding costs. if unclaimed, dogs sell at public auction or may be killed if no bids. Approved July 18 1925 by Mayor C M Moore and City Secretary J R Eanes.
