Naval Reservists Prepare Two Week Gulf Cruise
About twenty five Brownwood naval reservists from the Electronics Division depart New Orleans July 12 aboard USS Haas and USS Willet for a two week Gulf voyage with a stop at San Juan Puerto Rico. The group includes men from Brownwood Comanche and San Saba areas led by Lt Comdr Burton Denman and Lt Comdr Robert Blake. Most will be on active duty for the first time with full pay plus daily drill pay, as part of the West Central region unit training.
