Local District Wins and Splits WPA and AAA Funds
Mr Blanton claims his district received a fair share of AAA and WPA funds. In Eastland county 1935 farmers got about 20 dollars in AAA cotton money. Hawaii sugar giants without congressional reps received roughly a million each. Our district might have fared better without a representative. Clyde Garrett and the commissioners court obtained 222,955.96 dollars in WPA money for lateral roads and similar projects.
