Platform Excerpts Outline Tax Reform Proposals
Excerpts advocate a blended tax system replacing ad valorem levies with taxes on net corporate earnings and natural resource windfalls. They call for taxing big corporate interests, recapturing state resources, ending statewide ad valorem taxes, and ensuring tax equity for real estate owners and common citizens. A poll tax is opposed and county revenue allocations for bonds are proposed along with limited homestead exemptions.
