The Chief announces candidates for numerous offices in the Democratic primaries. Named are R Q Lee T F Perkins and others for Congress, J Eidsen for District Judge O L Robinson Watt L Saunders for District Attorney and many county row offices including W D Carroll for Treasurer Mrs B W Speed for Tax Collector George Goosby M Edmondson and H Hollis Burton for Tax Assessor Romee S Walker for County Superintendent and multiple commissioners and justices of the peace across Precincts 1 2 3 4 with listed nominees totals and incumbents.
The Sipe Springs Baptist church will hold services on August 5 led by Rev. Joe Isobel with J Walter Williams directing the singing. Local residents visiting relatives include D C Clark and family from Santa Anna, Fred Pounds in Cross Plains, Willie Mae Leonard and Oleta McClure in Hico, Mrs George Williams from Brownwood, Earlean and Oness Whitlock from Rising Star, and Jewel Chambers and Jack Graham in Sipe Springs. visitors from Rio Grande Valley Mrs Odessa Dunn of Wink. Davis Gallion and P J Burrows visiting from Hico and Colorado respectively.

The sale arises from a July 13 1928 order in Silas W Ferguson vs Chesley Allen Lizzie Allen Floy Allen McCollum A W McCollum and H S Bain case No 78841.
