City Plans Water Rate Increase to Fund Improvements
The City of Comanche proposes new water and sewer rates to balance the budget and finance essential improvements. A $2 minimum charge for water or sewer service, or $3 for combined accounts, follows a goal to fund water mains, fire equipment, and sanitation while avoiding debt beyond the town’s capacity. The plan warns of possible restrictions if revenue falls short and urges support from residents.
