Wilson County town founder John Robert Anderson obituary
More Old Wilson William P. Anderson, 85, of Lub boc, Texas. Bennie, a son, died at the age of 21. A baby sister died while the family lived in their first log house. With the turn of the century improvements came to Wilson. Water wells were put down, barb ed wire made its appearance and numerous houses constructed of pine lumber were built Georgia stock and double shovel farming gave way to walking cultivators. The future for Wilson looked promising for a time, then the railroads passed her by, county roads were improved and slowly but surely she came to a stand still. John Robert Anderson, as was his want, continued to live quietly on his 80 acre farm and saw the handwriting on the wall for the town he helped built Advanced years caught John
