Comanche County Bonds Progress and Disaster Prep Plans
In May 1958 Comanche County residents bought 14290 in U S Saving Bonds raising five month total to 106385 toward a 331000 goal. Texas national share stands at 175000000 with 433 percent of goal reached by May 31. A Tri State Conclave of Odd Fellows and Rebekahs is planned in Dallas with events and a 7 pm Saturday pageant. A Texas disaster readiness talk urges drills, underground shelters and controlled exits to prevent panic in national or local emergencies.
