4-H Club Encampment Dates Set at McCharen's Lake
The 4-H encampment for the county is scheduled for July 19 and 20 at McCharen's Lake on the Comanche and De Leon Highway. Bryson and Sons Fatten 1440 Sheep from Blanco Coryell
Mrs J H Bryson and Sons ship 1440 head of mutton sheep in Tuesday and Wednesday to fatten 90 days on grain fields to use waste grain from a recent storm. 1200 from Blanco County and 240 from Coryell County. Gerald Bryson says they will average 90 pounds and be shipped to market in October. Heifers bring 11 cents a pound as Bryson and Ligon ship three cars of Hereford heifers to Fort Worth averaging 650 pounds each. Also 45 head of cows and calves from Hamilton were shipped into Comanche last week by W F Howington for pasture.

Mayor Loses Car At Ball Park Rodeo
Mayor J R Eanes reported his 1926 Dodge Roadster parked outside the Ball Park at 2 30 pm. He returned at six and could not find it. A youth in blue overalls and jumper was seen in the car around 3 pm. A man matching the same description had stayed in Comanche the night before and claimed to live in Fort Worth en route to El Paso.
