Comanche County Farm Bureau Plans August Queen Contest
The Comanche County Farm Bureau will select a County Queen in August with prizes of 15, 10, and 5 dollars for first through third place. The county queen will travel to Brownwood in September to compete with other county queens, with the Brownwood winner receiving a watch and an expense paid trip to the State Convention in Galveston. State queen expenses are capped at 500 dollars for the convention in December. Eligibility includes daughters or sisters of Farm Bureau members, single, ages 16 to 22 by Sept 1, 1954, with exceptions for certain relatives of officials and past winners.
