City Considers Water and Street Bonds Vote Plan
The City Council plans to seek voter approval at the next meeting for bonds to fund water supply expansion and street improvements. A $15,000 water bond and $15,000 street bond would enable new wells, six inch mains, fire protection, concrete dips, culverts, and street crossings, with tax levies to cover interest and sinking fund. The plan aims to avoid a current year tax levy and reduce the street tax in 1928, arguing improved water supply, fire insurance savings, and long term street condition benefits.
