8th grade Boys and Girls travel to De Leon for two games on Monday February 4. Junior Varsity Maidens also play. Earlier, January 31, Freshman Indians and Junior Varsity Maidens go to Lampasas for two return matches. Then February 1 Indians and Maidens host Cisco in three district games at CHL gym. Maidens host Clyde on February 5, while Indians face the Bulldogs.

Joel E. Curtis has become Comanche County Entomologist to lead the Peanut Pest Management Program under Dr. C. E. Hoelscher. A 1973 Texas A&M graduate, Curtis is a Pearsall native with Navy service and a background in peanut entomology. He and his wife Janet and their child Jeff reside in Comanche.

The Comanche County Hospital Authority met in the county courtroom Jan 23 at 9 30 to discuss building a hospital.
