Comanche County News Highlights February Events and Local Quirks
The minutes of the school board are in the spotlight with calls to publish split votes. Matthew Willis rode a bus to Brownwood last week, his mother and grandmother accompanying him. A roof leak at the Chief led to a carpenter finding Cheryl White's purse, money missing for months. An auction drew 175 animals from buyers across several towns, boosting local clubs. A tree planting marks the Bicentennial, with a Tejas pecan tree under the Texas Liberty Tree program. February brings Boy Scout and Heart months with many date notes from Groundhog Day to Presidents Day.
