Amity H D Club Holds First Meeting of Month
Amity H D Club met January 6 at the Amity Club House with Mrs. Guy Taylor reporting. Members discussed future club work, announced standing committees, and planned meetings at members’ homes due to incomplete club house furnishings. The group approved a new refreshments plan and scheduled the next meeting for January 20 with Mrs. Tom West hosting.

Gustine FFA to Show Hogs at Houston Fat Stock Show
Gustine Texas members of the Gustine FFA will show 15 hogs in the Boys Market Swine Division at the 1953 Houston Fat Stock Show February 4 to 15. Wilbur Plager of Des Moines will judge fat barrows February 4. An auction is set February 5. Premiums total 2200 dollars. Entertainers Eddy Arnold and The Range Rider will perform with others. There are eighteen rodeo performances, with tickets in advance at three price levels.
