Voice of the People vs Gods Call in a Baptists Sermon
A Baptist church notes a sermon contrasting the phrase the voice of the people is the voice of God with divine calls to listen to God. The pastor urges reason with God, condemns blind custom, and cites Paul’s compassion for fellow Jews. The piece ends with a New Year prayer for personal reform. Gordon Barret, Pastor.
