A glove lost by a child and advertised by Mrs. Walter Barrett was found by Roscoe Edwards on Friday and returned to the issue's owner. The note suggests more finder efforts could return further lost items through the newspaper.
Tuesday night a barn on Joe A. Lee’s farm near Hasse burned down causing about 3000 dollars in damage, insured partially. Will Henry on the same farm lost feed harness and meat valued at several hundred dollars. Mr. Weary and family were away visiting Pete Stark when neighbors found the blaze.
The Majestic Theatre partners with the Chief to award family passes to subscribers. Names published weekly in the paper grant admission when the subscriber presents their copy bearing their name on the specified theatre night. Tax collector Mrs. B W Speed reports higher year to date receipts with December 1930 state taxes 8493 20 county taxes 5508 16 total 14001 36 vs 12008 94 in 1929 and November total 5195 45 up from 5031 87. Automobiles show steady registration with 542 cars and 12 trucks through January. new licenses due by February 1.
Mrs. O. B. Phillips sustained facial and head injuries while Mr. Phillips had minor bruises when their car collided with a truck on the Pecan Belt Highway crossing the Horse Creek Bridge. They were treated in Comanche by Dr. J. O. Lane. both vehicles were badly wrecked.
After debris was cleared the Lindsey building, damaged by fire, began reconstruction Monday on the north square. Mart Sherrill leads the project for a modern store with hardwood floor and brick front to house the Texas Power and Light Company, per J H Kemp.
A special band and orchestra concert will be held in the high school auditorium Sunday January 18 at 3 00 pm. Harmon Howard, the local band director, says the program includes the band orchestra concert orchestra popular orchestra and a jazz orchestra with instrumental novelties. No admission is charged and the public is invited.

Berry plants will arrive January 21 for farmers who arranged to plant them this year. The program could seed 215 more acres, boosting Comanche plantings to over 500 acres of berries, with blackberries priced the same as 1929 and 1930.
