Fire losses for last year total 7497 dollars with 5906 dollars insured. The year saw 30 alarms and 23 700 gallons of water 5 gallons of chemicals and 6300 feet of hose used. Heaviest loss was 4400 dollars from Joe Lee peanut barn fire. Out of town calls total four to Priddy Hasse Jack Stephens and B Cardwell. Damages included 12 residences 5 barns 4 grass fires 1 garage 2 trash fires 1 truck and 1 automobile.

County Clerk Hollis Burton reports 1936 marriages in Comanche County rose to 222 from 206 in 1935 and 195 in 1934. June remains popular for brides, but July and August saw more licenses. Christmas marriages were fewer than last year.
