Citizens at the council meeting endorsed a gradual paving plan for eight blocks on the square and extending through the city. The city would pay one third of costs, property owners one third each, with construction of all intersections covered by the city. Mayor Eanes envisions a multi year program, eight blocks per year, reaching forty blocks in five years, using gravel base and rock asphalt topping. Work to begin when spring weather permits.

Dual Town Fire Shocks Comanche Residents
In Comanche two fires broke out nearly simultaneously. The large Glazebrook warehouse fire at the railroad yards, likely started by a dropped match, destroyed peanuts and goods worth about 10000 dollars, with insurance covering losses. Hunters Bring Home Evidence of Skill After Big Bend Hunt
O. O. Brightman and son Oswell returned from a four day hunt below Samerson, Comanche area, with three ten point blacktail bucks. The largest weighed over 250 pounds dressed, and deer were scarce that season. They covered over 400 miles traveling to reach camp and hauled game out over rugged terrain.
