Lunchroom Menu Weekly Highlights
The menu lists daily offerings for the school lunchroom. Monday features Frito franks glazed carrots buttered corn bread milk and honey cookies. Tuesday offers dry lima beans spinach with stuffed egg Sun Glo salad corn bread milk and peanut butter cookies. Wednesday includes hamburger potato chips milk and banana pudding. Thursday serves baked turkey dressing and gravy seasoned green beans molded fruit salad hot rolls milk and cherry pie. Friday presents hamburger bake English peas in potato nest carrots and celery strips milk and cocoanut pudding.
Band Concert Makes Hit Here at Comanche High
The Comanche High School Concert Band under Thurston R. Atwood performed a mixed program in the school auditorium on Monday night February 9. The near over full house praised the performance and Atwood served as master of ceremonies while guiding the group through serious and novelty numbers.

All Regional Band Awards and Program Highlights
Five band members received presentations of awards Ronald Mathews Sue Barret Dale Carmichael Bessie Johnson and Patsy Atwood. Special honors went to Sue Barret Patsy Atwood and Dale Carmichael for All State Band. The program featured Symbol of Honor Autumn Nocturne Blue Tango Copa Cabana and novelty numbers including Coming Round the Mountain Hey Pedro and Pop Goes the Weasel. A vocal trio performed Too Young Becky Baxter solo Murmurs with Pat Baxter piano and Ronald Matthews played Pavanne. The swing sax quartet Jericho and a Parker 51 pen set were presented to Band Director Atwood by Paul Coulter. Out of town directors attended with their wives. A singing event at Hasse is planned for March 1.

School Custodians Propel Comanche High Improvements
Comanche Public Schools acknowledges the custodial staff under Superintendent Chaffin. Members Harvey Bowman J W Willingham Emmett Batton Homer Norwood Arthur Hayes and A E Vineyard led projects including tennis courts backstops window shades classroom upgrades waxed floors and thermostatic heaters. The team worked through Christmas holidays to ready C H S for students return.
