Appaloosa Horse Sale Draws Texas Interest in San Antonio
The Appaloosa horse sale at the San Antonio Stock Show on February 15 attracted buyers from Texas and beyond. Sixty horses were offered with prices from 475 to 2400 dollars. some horses have sold for as high as 35,000 dollars. Attendees included Ikey Pipes family, Floyd Prather, Bally Robertson, Roy Polvado, and the Boykins, who purchased stallions.

The Comanche 4-H Club met February 20 at 7 30 PM at the Comanche County Electric Co op office. Visitors were Sue Russell Karen Slider Martha Barret Lou Barret. Leaders present were Mrs W J Parks Mrs Robertson Gus Wilhelm Miss Ruth Stringer Angus Dickson and W J Parks. Dr James spoke on health and education. The club enjoyed recreation and refreshments with a smell identification game led by Jane Ann Robertson and several magic tricks by members.
