Kirkman Accepts Post With Cisco Church
uM Kirkman, a former Air Force staff sergeant, will move with his wife and two daughters to Cisco in December to begin new duties in January. He previously served as Training Union director and Sunday School superintendent for the Comanche County Baptist association and represented the Texas State Baptist Sunday School at planning meetings. The community bids him farewell as no hiring plans are in place.

Joseph Robert Byrd longtime Comanche County resident and retired farmer died after a lengthy illness. Born April 5, 1885, he was the son of William Thomas Byrd and Mary Byrd. He belonged to East Side Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements listed Oakwood Cemetery with local pallbearers.
