TP and L to Aid Construction of Giant Texas Plant
Texas Power and Light with two investor owned firms announced plans to build a 1,150,000 kilowatt power plant near Fairfield Freestone County. Construction would begin in late 1968 with two generating units and a 345 kV system feed, plus a 2,500 acre cooling dam and lignite fuel mining to start in 1970.
