Comanche School Board Rejects State Pay Schedule For Tax Official
In a special session the Comanche Independent School District voted three to two with one abstention to keep Jim Baccus as Tax Assessor-Collector on local pay instead of adopting the State Salary Schedule. The move denies a $1,928 raise and costs the district $3,328 in state funds, with proponents arguing local control safeguards budgets. The board’s decision follows a scrimmage season update and local business sponsorships for the Indians football page.
