The Comanche Lions Club hosts an ice cream and cake supper at Indian Memorial Stadium for about 50 grid hopefuls and their parents along with four coaches P T Galiga Herman Moore Jerry Hamrick and Dale Biggs. New CHS uniforms will be modeled as part of the event.

Dublin Rodeo Opens Wednesday Night at Dublin
The 14th Annual World Championship Pre Madison Square Garden Rodeo begins Wednesday September 2 in Dublin for a four night run. Tickets cost 2.00 for adults with box seats at 2.50 children 1.00. Performances start 8 p.m. with parades band concerts and classic rodeo events. Producers Everett Colburn Gene Autry and associates own multiple ranches including Lightning C Ranch in Comanche County near Hazel dell Florence Arizona and Blackfoot Idaho. Colburn’s son-in-law Harry Tomkins is among top riders.

Lockridge And Harelik Named As Cub Masters
Louis Harelik and H. H. Lockridge named Cub Scout Masters for the Comanche troop. About 40 cub scouts in Comanche now. A reorganization meeting will follow the start of school. Registration blanks available from Harelik or Lockridge or the Troop Secretary Mrs James Wilkerson. Harelik has been assistant Cub-master for two years. Lockridge, former County Judge, is now a member of the Comanche Public Schools faculty.
