The notice requires appearance by the first Monday after 42 days from issuance to answer in case 28629 filed June 3 1966 seeking tax due plus interest penalties and costs on Abstract No 607 241 acres of Lampasas County School Land within Comanche County. Be it resolved by the Texas Legislature to amend Section 9 Article VIII of the Texas Constitution. The new provision limits state property tax to 35 cents per $100 valuation and local levies to 80 cents per $100 for general, permanent improvement, road and bridge, and jury funds, with safeguards ensuring bonds or obligations are not impaired and total levies stay within 80 cents per year. The commissioners court must levy required rates for four constitutional purposes.
