Longtime Proctor Resident John Chisholm Dies in Kerrville
John Chisholm of Proctor died August 10 in Kerrville Texas. Burial was in Proctor Cemetery with Rev. E L Craig of Cleburne presiding. Born June 20 1882 in Washington County he moved to Comanche County as a child and spent most of his life near Proctor. Rev D A Chisholm district superintendent of Corsicana is a brother. Survived by a sister Mrs A L Truett of Abilene and several nieces nephews and other relatives. Mrs D E Chisholm of Proctor notified the Chief.

Four Men Start August Draft Induction from Brownwood
Four men left Brownwood on August 3 for Abilene to join the August draft for Selective Service Board No. 15. The September quota for Brownwood and Comanche counties is four men, leaving September 21 for induction. Named in the August group are James Edward Teague and Jesse McNeil Jr of Brownwood, William Duane Beene of Dublin, and Joe Sid Kemp of Lamkin.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at 4 o clock in the Church of Christ Comanche for Mrs. R A Sibert born Sarah Elizabeth Ripley October 25 1880 in Charleston Delta County Texas daughter of J W and S C Casman Ripley She joined the Church of Christ in youth and remained a faithful member she married R A Sibert in 1904 at Charleston and moved to Comanche County in 1906 She is survived by her husband five children nine grandchildren her mother four brothers and three sisters all of Comanche County
