A deep test was added Tuesday afternoon about nine miles north of Comanche on the J E McGuire tract known as McGuire No 1. Wednesday afternoon a 15 inch casing section was set. J M Hickey contracted to drill to 2700 feet and hopes to open a new oil field. The block, 2000 acres, was secured by C M Doyle of Fort Worth with partners D W Swarts and Nelson G Pearce of St Petersburg Florida.
