Pioneer Teacher Pearl Boyd remembered for decades of service
The Comanche County education legacy is honored as Pearl Boyd, former Miss Pearl Boyd and later Mrs. John Gilbert Bruce, is praised for 28 years of teaching in Comanche County schools and guiding county youths to state meets and top prizes. Her career, linked to Comanche High School and teachers Ola Cunningham and Minnie Cunningham Klingman, is celebrated alongside a note on her late husband and the need for teacher annuities. The item also recaps Ike West’s Europe notes and local visitors from California and Dallas.
