Mr Dave Tally, visiting relatives in Lamkin and Abilene, left for Tyler last week. Mrs Rosco King from Oklahoma arrived to stay with her in laws, the Dooleys. Lamkin Grandfather Truett had a serious heart attack but is improving. Community members attended the Hico Reunion and other gatherings. multiple family travels and local visits are reported, including car collision near Kemp's garage with minor injuries. The Lamkin ball team beat Carlton 7 to 1, and church plans begin August 15 with Bro Adams assisting.

Cheatham family travels to the Valley for cotton pickin

Aug. 9 notes Mr. Cheatham and sons John Gus Edward and Neal went to the Valley to pick cotton. Mrs. Jewell Drennon's grandfather Mr. Handcock visited last week. H L Gantz Elected Chairman By Texas Superintendents

H L Gantz was elected chairman by the county superintendents of Texas at their annual conference at A and M college for the ensuing term. He now chairs the county superintendents section of the State Teachers Association which meets in El Paso next November. Mr and Mrs N E Palmer visited Mrs Palmer's sister Miss Lucy Adelia Naylor in Blackmans Sanitarium at Gorman last Sunday. Miss Naylor underwent a successful operation for appendicitis last week.
