The Comanche County Relief Office will be abolished and relief work shifted to a Waco District Office led by E. L. Upshaw. The district also includes Bosque Coryell Hamilton Lampasas McLennan and Mills counties with 38 district headquarters statewide to replace county offices. County offices operate until replaced. code workers remain in counties and clients need not leave their county for relief.

Three Held in Brownwood Truck Beer Hijacking
Three men Carl Williams Homer Beckham and Herschel Ives are jailed in Comanche on robbery with firearms charges after a hijacked beer truck on the Brownwood highway.
