Mrs. Ed Rogers Buried Tuesday At Zion Hill
Funeral services for Mrs. Ed Rogers who died after a motor accident on Highway 10 near Hasse were held Tuesday afternoon at Zion Hill with Rev. T. N. Carter and Rev. A. Edwin Wilson officiating. Interment followed at Zion Hill Cemetery. She was 15 when she joined the Missionary Baptist Church and had served as secretary of the Williford Reunion. Surviving are her husband Ed Rogers two daughters a son six grandchildren five sisters and two brothers.

Woman Dies After Crash On Highway 10 Near Comanche
Mrs. Ed Rogers of Comanche County died after a pickup she rode in was rear ended by Fred Reed’s car seven miles east of Comanche on Highway 10 near Hasse. Reed, charged with driving while intoxicated, posted a $500 bond and was jailed briefly.

William Loyd Bryant born August 19 1855 in Carro County Georgia died July 29 1938 at his Sidney Texas home aged 82 years 11 months 10 days. He married Ada Elizabeth Barron November 4 1875 and had six children. He joined Mt Zio Missionary Baptist Church near Whitesburg Georgia and lived a devout Christian life. He spent last 26 years in Sidney and was affectionately known as Uncle Loyd.
