Talmadge Hodges, 15, of Comyn was killed instantly in a Wednesday night crash on the Comanche De Leon Highway near De Leon. Estelle Anglin, 14, was near death Thursday at German Hospital. Carline Chloe Adams, 13, and C P Jones, 17, suffered minor injuries and also were hospitalized.

Officers Seize Intoxicants In Wednesday Raid
State Liquor Control Board officers with local deputies seized 10 pints of whiskey 2 quarts of wine and 47 beer cans from A J Owens six miles east of De Leon on the Dublin Highway. County Attorney D P Parker filed charges for possession of intoxicating liquors for sale and said a contempt of court case would follow. An order to show cause against R D Woods of Comariche is set for May 8 after a prior writ of injunction. The Attorney General's Department had filed a petition three weeks earlier restraining Woods from possession or sale of intoxicating liquor.

Infant daughter of Coach Frazier buried in Comanche
Funeral services were held Sunday for the infant daughter of Coach and Mrs. Glenn Frazier born Saturday at their home in Comanche. Rev. E R Gordon led the service at the Methodist Church with interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Local Woman Found Dead In Tank Near Comanche
Mrs. Sarah Jane Coker 72 was found dead Tuesday morning in a dirt tank near her brother’s home three miles northeast of Comanche. She appeared to have died about two hours earlier and neighbors said she had been despondent since her husband’s death. Funeral services were held Wednesday with two ministers officiating.
